A wealth of engineering under one roof

Southern Manufacturing & Electronics, the UK’s largest and longest-established annual engineering show, will be held in February next year at the 20,000 sq ft Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre. Suppliers of machine tools, tooling, automation, metrology equipment, finishing machines, laser cutting and marking equipment, software and engineering services will be taking stands. So also will subcontractors specialising in sheet metalworking.

Fife Fabrications will explain the extent of its supply of precision sheet metalwork, machined components and electro-mechanical assemblies. Its continued investment in facilities and leading edge equipment has seen its 106,000 sq.ft facility grow to be one of the most advanced manufacturing sites in the world.

Wood plc is another established Scottish subcontract manufacturer of sheet metal components that will focus visitors’ attention on its ability to supply welded fabrications and assemblies to the automotive, oil and gas, nuclear, and process and packaging sectors. It constantly invests in the latest fibre laser cutting technology, which is operated by a highly skilled workforce.

BIZ Engineering will promote its fine-limit sheet metal working capabilities. The company’s expertise spans sheet metal forming, tube and pipe bending and forming, MIG and TIG welding and fabrication, CNC laser cutting, punching and assembly. Materials processed are predominantly mild and stainless steels and aluminium.

The Confederation of British Metalforming, the leading trade association for manufacturers of fasteners, forgings and pressings, cold rolled and sheet metal products, will also be present.

Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2023 opens from 7th to 9th February and will co-locate with AutoAero, a specialist theme within the exhibition devoted to aerospace and automotive engineering. There is a free bus service between Farnborough’s train stations directly to the show. Admission and parking are also free of charge. More information and tickets are available here.
