EuroBLECH 2026, stand D94, Hall 11, Salvagnini is presenting the Flexible Smart Line S4+P4 and the Flexible Smart Job Shop: two complementary production architectures that coordinate technologies, automation and software according to different logics, making production more adaptable, autonomous and predictable. This is the concrete translation of the Salvagnini Lead the Change promise, which invites companies to manage change, transforming production complexity into a value.

Flexible Smart Line S4+P4: complexity managed in a single flow

Born from the integration of an S4 punching-shearing machine and a P4 panel bender, the Flexible Smart Line automatically produces different parts in sequence, without WIP, manual set-up or sheet metal handling by operators. The MD single sheet store-tower feeds the S4, while the MCU Cartesian device unloads, stacks and transfers the parts, feeds the P4 and balances the various operations, acting as a buffer when necessary.

The most relevant new feature is FLOW, the MOM software developed by Salvagnini to manage the line. FLOW connects devices, coordinates the production behavior and is used to select the most suitable strategy, job by job: Inline, Stack and Load in the standard Line configuration; Smart Buffering and Smart Reordering in the optional Smartline level. In the office, FLOW-Office makes available a digital twin of the system, used to compare job queues and production scenarios before launching production.

The S4 punching machine maintains the distinctive Salvagnini architecture with the multi-press head with die-structure and integrated shear. It can house up to 117 thick turret tools, always available over the whole sheet, and is equipped with advanced hybrid actuators that reduce average consumption by up to 20% compared to electric actuators. The shear, with two independent and orthogonal blades, separates the parts without eroding the material while minimizing scrap.

The line is completed with a P4-3126 panel bender, with maximum bending height of 260 mm. The universal bending tools and ABA automatic blankholder eliminate manual retooling. The configuration on display further extends the application range with the options CUT, CLA/SIM, RSU, EPP and DPM-I, as well as a tool magazine with three T tools that can be automatically engaged and disengaged within the same cycle.

Flexible Smart Job Shop: independent technologies that work together when needed

The Flexible Smart Job Shop combines stand-alone technologies that can work independently or collaborate on convergent productions. The system consists of a L3.G4 laser in a fully automated configuration with an LTWS store-tower and MCU automatic sorting device, internal logistics with autonomous mobile robots and P-Robot, integrating a P2-2520HG panel bender, robot and B3.ATA press brake. The STREAM, STORE, NEXUS, MOVE and RVS software coordinate programming, nesting, store management, sorting and cell autonomy.

L3.G4 is the Salvagnini fiber laser cutting system designed to combine accessibility, rigidity, efficiency and simple use. At EuroBLECH, it is configured with a 10 kW high-power-density source, LTWS store-tower with 10 trays and an MCU sorting device. The ACUT option is used to cut sheet metal up to 20 mm in appropriately treated compressed air, depending on the source power, with productivity similar to cutting in nitrogen and at a lower cost.

For the very first time, at EuroBLECH Salvagnini is presenting APVS, the new artificial vision application integrated with an APC2 adaptive sensor. With APVS, a camera detects any cutting losses, even in complex operating conditions, improving process control, preventing waste and increasing the laser’s autonomy during operation and when restarting after an anomaly.

The MCU automatic sorting device also has a broader application range: it manages thicknesses from 0.5 to 20 mm and weights up to 90 kg for each manipulator, which becomes 180 kg when the two gripping devices work together. The multi-gripping and double-picking modes increase flexibility and reduce picking times by over 25%. The cut parts can be made available immediately on the independent mobile robots and transferred to the technologies downstream.

The major new feature of the P-Robot is, for the first time, the downstream integration of the P2-2520HG panel bender, and a 135 ton, 3000 mm B3.ATA press brake with ATA and ATA.L devices. The P2 implements the majority of processing jobs; B3 completes double negative bends, out-of-range bends and secondary forming. The new P2-2520HG also extends compact panel bending to high-thickness machining, while RVS recognizes and independently processes different parts coming from the laser.

The result is a coordinated path, from metal sheet to finished part, in which cutting, sorting, logistics, robotized panel bending and bending work together only which required by production.
