Corbetts is delighted to announce the opening of our new galvanizing plant, known as A Plant. This additional plant enables Corbetts to have an even greater scope for fast turnaround orders with the added flexibility to accommodate spikes in manufacturing.
The company has invested approximately £1 million to upgrade equipment in A Plant, including brand new state of the art burners, increases the ability of higher throughput whilst also assigning £400,000 dedicated to filling the bath with brand new zinc ingots. This investment enables Corbetts to produce the highest quality galvanized steel to meet rising market demand, with the new plant able to process 300 tonnes of orders per week. The bath size for A Plant is 5.5 metres long, 1.2 metres wide, and 2.5 metres deep, which will enable us to process a variety of products.
Additionally, the company have expanded its talented workforce by hiring and training 15 new plant operators especially for this facility. The new team members bring the skills and experience necessary to utilise the updated equipment and ensure smooth operations in the plant.
