A sheet punching and bending system to form top and bottom door leaves in kits. The system can process pre-painted and plastic-covered steel, punching up to 2 mm thickness and bending up to 1 mm thickness. Decorative grooves are formed to the sheets after the punching and excess material is sheared from the sides in a Cut-to-Width station before the buffer or feeding to the bending process. The long sides of the door leaf are bent first with additional corner tab bends. The sheet is turned 90° and the short sides are bent. Hold-down tools for the short sides are automatically changed in a top-bottom kit production. The finished door leaves are discharged to a gravity conveyor.
