The history of S. J. & E. Fellows, a Rical Group manufacturing company based in Wolverhampton, dates back to the 19th century. The company was formally established in 1895, although records indicate that manufacturing activities began around 1860, The Fellows family initially had an ironworks and a japanning factory in Bilston in the 1730s, before moving the business to Pool Street around 1800.
S. J. & E. Fellows became known for producing a wide variety of holloware, including items like milk churns, stoves, and marine floats. Over the years, the company expanded its manufacturing capabilities to include high-quality deep drawn presswork, progression and conventional pressings for various industries such as commercial catering equipment, automotive parts, and the electronics and industrial sectors.
In 1972, the company was acquired by Centerway Industries PLC. It was later sold to the Birmingham Mint Group in 1987, and then to IMI in 1991. Following a restructuring, IMI sold several companies, including Fellows, to the Rical Group in 1998, where it successfully remains today.
