Devon-based Greenfield Engineering has recently added a new 12 RB series Timesaver to complement the different options of blank finishing available through the company. This finish can be offered on punched or lasered components.
The fabrication department has also increased staff, allowing for manual grinding and cleaning of certain parts as they come into the fabrication area, speeding up production manufacturing times.
This new addition follows a specific customer requested for a large product run that needed an extra scratch burr free surface and edge finish to meet high quality specs in downstream processes.
Greenfield looked at various machine models suited for flat part finishing that would suit their metal fabricating requirements before deciding on the 12 RB series Timesaver.
Gary Burnard, Managing Director said: “Our customers want to see our ability to respond quickly to a production request and continue to build on our existing capabilities internally. This project was costed and operational within a relatively short amount of time thanks to Timesaver pulling out all the stops to get the new machine delivered and commissioned.”
