Q&A
We caught up with Ben to learn more about his role, what motivates him, and what makes Unifabs different from the typical subcontractor experience.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
“Connecting with people. There’s something really exciting about visiting a company for the first time, meeting the team I’ll hopefully be supporting down the line, hearing about the challenges they’re facing, and working together on ways to avoid those issues in future.”
Ben thrives on variety:
“I also really enjoy learning about their products and how they operate. Every company is different, which keeps things interesting. It can be challenging remembering all the key details, but the variety certainly makes my role a lot more interesting.”
What does ‘Design, Manufacture, Finish, Deliver’ mean to you?
“To me, it means taking the headache out of the sourcing process by offering a truly end-to-end service. We can get involved right at the start of the product journey in our design office, helping to shape ideas into manufacturable solutions. From there, we manage the entire process, from sampling through to full production. Finally, we deliver a complete, finished product, ready for use.”

When he’s not busy supporting customers, Ben is throwing darts — literally.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
“I’ve been absolutely hooked on darts for the last 18 months (yes, I am part of the Littler effect) and play every single day… I’ve even been running my own local league team, involving my brother, close friends and a couple of the Unifabs team!”
Do you have any pets?
“I have a lurcher called Ziggy, which my partner and I rescued two years ago. He’s our pride and joy — whether he’s flat out on the sofa or having scarily quick zoomies around the house, he never fails to put a smile on our faces.”
