TUBE 2026, 13-17 April – Düsseldorf (Germany), Mazak stand, hall 5, stand C17
Yamazaki Mazak is preparing to showcase the latest developments in its tube laser technology solutions at TUBE 2026, as it continues to expand its presence within the European market.
Making its European trade fair debut is the new FT-250 tube laser cutting machine. The introduction of the FT-250 expands Mazak’s tube laser range, which already includes three other models, and strengthens its ability to support a variety of production requirements.
Developed to process round pipes up to Φ254 mm and 203 mm square pipes, the FT-250 is designed to meet the demands of up to 80% of the market requirements. Compared with previous models, the machine’s increased loading capacity extends the scope of heavier workpieces that can be efficiently cut.
A key feature of the FT-250 is the dual-function design of the heads, which integrate a dedicated laser cutting torch and a mechanical spindle for tapping, drilling, milling, etc., each mounted on independent saddles. This allows for reduced processing cycle times and contributes to a higher throughput when processing round and square tubes, as well as structural beam sections.
With the new model’s ability to carry out a variety of advanced machining functions, such as tapping, drilling and countersinking, multiple operations can be combined within a single system. This can minimise handling and transfer times while supporting efficient, high-mix production workflows.
The FT-250 is controlled by the SmoothTUBE CNC, designed specifically with tube processing applications in mind. Its easy-to-use, dual-touch panel and 21.5” graphical interface offer an intuitive workflow, visual process monitoring and direct job-editing capabilities.
The machine’s layout is designed for user-friendly operation, allowing simple loading and efficient maintenance for improved serviceability. At the unloading stage, a slide cover on the conveyor aids smooth front-side operation during daily use.
Gaetano Lo Guzzo, Director Laser Business Europe at Yamazaki Mazak, said: “TUBE Düsseldorf is widely recognised as the world’s leading trade fair for tube and profile processing. Our presence at the event allows us to reinforce our position as a global technology leader while introducing a new solution that extends our tube laser offering.
“The FT-250 represents a significant addition to our tube laser portfolio and underlines our commitment to providing world-class laser machines that can help European customers to overcome the challenges they face, while delivering efficiency, precision and profitability.
“We would encourage laser users attending the event to visit the Mazak stand to learn more about the FT-250 and Mazak’s exceptional service and support capabilities.”
