After a successful 2024 show, one key service ICEE had a lot of interest in was its 2D & 3D Waterjet Cutting Service. The innovative manufacturing method is the modern way to profile parts, without compromising on quality, tolerance or cost. Its Waterjet Cutting Service is powered by its Bystronic ByJet Flex 4030 Twin Head Waterjet, consisting of a maximum bed cutting size of 4000 x 2000mm. Waterjet cutting of components offers exceptional precision, with a high quality of finish. ICEE’s investment in the latest Waterjet Technology allows the company to offer incredibly competitive prices and cut essentially any material, up to 250mm*, in both 2D & 3D.

So how does it work? Waterjet Cutting is an accelerated manufacturing erosion process within a material. Highly pressurised water is fired, through a ruby or diamond nozzle, into a mixing chamber. This pressure creates a vacuum, drawing in garnet into the stream, where it is then fired at an object in place for cutting. This all happens while still boasting ultra-fine precision.
