Building on an established relationship, a leading drinks manufacturer once again partnered with Tadweld to support the expansion of its production facility. Carried out within a live operational environment, this was one of Tadweld’s largest and most complex installations to date.

Combining detailed planning and precision engineering, the project involved the design and installation of bespoke platforms, staircases, and mezzanines, carefully integrated around existing plant equipment while maintaining uninterrupted production throughout.

Challenge:

  • A leading drinks manufacturer, an existing Tadweld customer, needed to upscale their production facility with new platforms, staircases, and mezzanines. The project required integrating steelwork around existing plant equipment while also constructing a large new platform in an empty space. The scale, hygiene standards, and operational continuity brought significant logistical and engineering challenges.

Actions:

  • Tadweld engaged in detailed pre-project planning and consultation with the customer to align on design, scheduling, and operational requirements.
  • Designed and modelled bespoke platforms, staircases, and mezzanines to fit both existing operational areas and new build spaces.
  • Coordinated the installation of 6,500 steel components, totalling 270 tonnes, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing production.
  • Installed 12,700 bolts across a total surface area of 1,600 m², maintaining structural integrity.
  • Applied hygiene, safety, and efficiency standards throughout the design and installation.

Results:

  • Successful delivery of a fully operational, cutting-edge facility for the food and drinks sector.
  • Seamless integration of new steelwork around existing plant equipment.
  • Enhanced operational efficiency with safe, accessible platforms and mezzanines.
  • One of Tadweld’s largest and most complex installations completed on time and to specification.
