Greenfield Engineering is committed to its apprenticeship programme which has been producing engineers for just under 30 years. The company sees apprentices as an investment in its future, delivering highly skilled staff.
Here are this year’s intake of first year students. Greenfield’s programme ensures a continual stream of engineers with transferable skills for other departments within the business. This approach towards training enables Greenfield to recruit talented young students who will gain high levels of knowledge to further their engineering development and progression.
Simon Walker Operations Director explains:
“Greenfield are proud to have run a successful apprenticeship programme over the past two and half decades, investing in the best young, local talent.
“We work with two local colleges to ensure our apprentices have the best most advanced technical training with good educational support. This has ensured we maintain our elevated professional standards in sheet metal engineering. What is really exciting to see is that this year’s enrolment has been our most successful since the introduction of our programme, with over 50 candidates applying for one of our apprenticeship positions. I would like to wish all the students good luck joining our programme as the 2024-25 academic year is about to begin.”
