Adey Steel has secured £500,000 worth of new contracts to fabricate and deliver tubular piles to the rail sector.
The Loughborough-based steel fabrication infrastructure specialist has been appointed by two of the UK’s largest specialist infrastructure services providers to manufacture and supply a large volume of piles for rail electrification projects in the Northwest of England and Yorkshire.
Piling is just one of the specialist fabrication steelworks manufactured by Adey Steel for its rail clients from its purpose-built workshops in the East Midlands. The family-owned-and-operated company is currently supplying over 3,000 tonnes of OLE equipment to major national electrification programmes together with a number of Access for All bridge structures for installation on the national rail network.
Andrew Adey, Managing Director of Adey Steel, explained: “We are delighted to be supporting our clients with steel piles for their rail electrification programmes across the North of England. Adey Steel has extensive expertise within these types of projects and the team are on track to meet the urgent demands of our key customers prior to the upcoming Christmas blockades.”
