Bystronic announces the appointment of Wilfried de Backer as Chief Service Officer. He will report to CEO Domenico Iacovelli and serve as a member of the Executive Board. He succeeds Eamon Doherty, who left Bystronic earlier September.
Wilfried de Backer joins Bystronic from Rieter AG, where he served as Senior Vice President, After Sales Operations. Prior to that, he worked as General Manager of Spare Parts Delivery for General Electric Service in Switzerland and Director of Manufacturing Operations for Alstrom Power in the USA. “Wilfried’s experience in improving operational efficiency and customer service levelswill be a great asset for Bystronic who are confident that under his leadership, Bystronic further grow their service business and advance customer satisfaction,” said Domenico Iacovelli, CEO of Bystronic.
