With over 25 years in the industry, Jason Robinson is a familiar face to many! With a wealth of knowledge, highly collaborative approach and incredible attention to detail, Jason is a hugely important member of the Robust Uk Ltd team, helping to drive our success and innovation on a daily basis.
Jason joined Robust in 2023, with a focus on product testing & certification, researching & developing new products, and looking at new opportunities and gaps in the market. Having recently been promoted from Research & Development Manager to Technical Director, Jason’s new role includes his previous R&D responsibilities plus the standardisation of designs and processes; improving processes in production to gain greater efficiencies in each department; and the automation of processes within production and the office.
Jason says, “Robust is a great company to be a part of, and there was a lot of fantastic work already being done prior to my arrival. I thoroughly enjoy working with the team here, using my experience to help drive improvement at every level. Relocating to our new production facility in Newcastle-under-Lyme has enabled us to implement improvements much more quickly due to the significant investment in state-of-the-art machinery and facilities.”
“The testing of doors here is second to none. robust has always had a well-deserved reputation for “investing in testing”, with products undergoing rigorous third party testing and certification, providing peace of mind for the customer that our products conform to the latest legislation and meet all the required performance standards. Not all manufacturers or door companies have the same level of comprehensive testing that Robust has, which can result in vulnerabilities.”
“Another important part of my role is to ensure that we are always looking for innovative designs, continuing to develop and improve our solutions with the customer in mind. Identifying gaps in the market and ensuring that Robust UK can meet our customer demands is incredibly rewarding. We liaise closely with our current supply partners and potential new suppliers to ensure that we’re at the forefront of innovation – utilising new materials and the latest products to meet ever-evolving market requirements.”
Looking to the future, Jason says Robust’s relocation to larger premises has unlocked great potential, with significant improvements in production and processes already taking place with more to follow. “We continually strive to innovate, develop, learn and educate, and the investment in our new production facility enables us to do this to an even higher standard than before. The future is bright for Robust, and it’s an incredibly exciting time to be a part of the team.”
