Fine Tubes, a specialist manufacturer of high-quality metal tubing based in Plymouth, is celebrating twenty years of prestigious Nadcap Aerospace Special Process accreditation.
The first of the five process certificates was awarded for Heat Treating in 2004, followed by ultrasonic testing for the NDT process certificate in 2007. Since then, Welding, Chemical Processing, and Fluid Distribution Systems have been added and maintained.
After overcoming the initial challenges of Nadcap requirements, this special process has become integral to the culture at Fine Tubes.
The Nadcap process instils high standards of training, process knowledge, and operational discipline to maintain the processing systems and quality of tubing products. This accreditation allows Fine Tubes to maintain its preferred supplier status for key aerospace customers and ensures the integrity and safety of its products.
Rob Eatwell, Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager at Fine Tubes, says: “We are proud to achieve two decades of continuous Nadcap accreditation. This achievement is a testament to the dedication of all areas of our business – Operations, Quality Assurance and Compliance, Technical, and Process Engineering teams. Their collective efforts in maintaining our processes and facilitating the reaccreditation audits have been invaluable. Congratulations to everyone involved over the years.”
In 2024, all five processes will be reviewed in the same year for the first time. The Fine Tubes team will work together to ensure that the merit status of the certificates is maintained.
